To me, the most astounding things in the Bible are the Old Testament Scriptures foretelling  of the Coming of Christ.
In Psalm 22, this prophesy tells of the enthronement of the Holy One, but that he would be scorned and despised by the people.  More amazingly, it tells that he would be mocked...that his clothes would be bartered.  They would pierce his hands and his feet. His tongue would stick to the roof of his mouth. and all his bones would be out of joint.

Can you imagine the weeping of those who recalled those passages and looked up at their beloved Jesus... only to realize that this
"Jesus of Nazareth"
 IS the Messiah.

And in the 21st century, we are the ones so very Blessed to know that
 He is Risen!

 He is Risen, indeed!
